About the Symposium

Armenians had lived in peace within Ottoman Empire borders for centuries before they founded secessionist organizations with the support and encouragements of Czarist Russia and some European states and organized separatist actions in a wide area including Anatolia, Caucasus and Azerbaijan beginning from late 19th century.  Thousands of innocent people lost their lives during these events, the most extensive and tragic of which came about in Eastern Anatolia, where Iğdır Province is also located, Middle Aras Basin and Azerbaijan between 1918 and 1920.

As the year 2019 is the 100th anniversary of these tragic events, we have decided to organize an international symposium seeking to reveal historical facts in the light of scientific data. It is thus aimed to unveil the historical facts and demonstrate them to the whole world against all anti-Turkish claims of Armenia, Diaspora organizations and the supporting countries.
